Weiβ Schwarz Cards of the Day: 20th of February

The Sword Art Online previews are continuing, this time with a Kirito with a different hairstyle and a captive Asuna.

[AUTO] [(1)] When this card attacks, if [Demise of the World] is in your Climax Zone, you may pay the cost. If you do so, draw 1 card.

[AUTO] Acceleration [Place the top 1 card of your deck into the Clock.] At the start of your Climax Phase, you may pay the Cost. If you do so, until the end of your opponent’s next turn, this card gains Power +2500.

Kirito’s back, and this time with spiky hair, a Climax combo and an Acceleration effect. The Climax combo is a useful if fairly uninteresting effect, that just lets you trade off 1 Stock to draw 1 card. This could help replenish your hand, but doesn’t do much to help the current game state.

His acceleration effect can make up for his poor power, by putting him at 6500, which is very strong for a 1/0. As always though, Acceleration effects are a big risk, trading off damage for an effect. Often in the long run, it might not be worth it.

Imprisoned Queen, Asuna

Our second card today is an Asuna who gets stronger when accompanied by Kirito. When together she’ll become a 7000, with Encore, meaning that not only can she match 1/1 vanilla’s but she also has the added survivability granted by Encore. This could make her an important card during Level 1, provided there are enough Kirito worth using alongside her.

One thing she does lack compared to most 1/1 though is a Soul Trigger, meaning the potential damage output of your deck will be reduced.
