For today’s previews we have our first appearance of the Time-Space Administration Bureau in the new set, in the form of Chrono and his mum, Lindy.
“Maximum freeze magic”, Chrono
Green / Level 2 / Cost 2 / 7000 / 2 Soul / 1 Soul Trigger
«魔法 Magic» / «武器 Weapon»
[CONT] If you have another character on your Stage whose name includes [リンディ Lindy], this card gains Power +2000 and [[AUTO] Encore [Place 1 character from your Hand in the Waiting Room]
Chrono debuts with a powerful card that gets even stronger when supported by the Lindy card below. If accompanied by a Lindy card he will become a 9000, which is the standard for a 2/2, however he’ll also have Encore added on top of that. This will mean he’ll be much harder to budge off the Stage compared to other 2/2s. He also doesn’t suffer any Power deduction in the process, meaning you don’t need to worry about the problem other Encore cards sometimes have, of simply getting run over repeatedly by equally costed cards with 500 more Power.
Getting and keeping a Lindy on the Stage shouldn’t be too hard, especially since there is a powerful new support card also previewed today, which can safely stay Back Stage, and potentially make this Chrono an 11,000.
Memory of the past, Lindy
Green / Level 1 / Cost 1 / 4000 / 1 Soul / 1 Soul Trigger
«魔法 Magic» / «お茶 Tea»
[CONT] All of your other characters whose name includes [クロノ Chrono] or [リンディ Lindy] gain Power +1000.
Our first new Lindy card provides global support for both herself and her son. Since she supports such a narrow band of cards, it allows her to have a few interesting stats that increase her usefulness. Lots of other +1000 global support have to wait until Level 2 to be played, but Lindy can be used at Level 1, allowing you to quickly start gaining a Power advantage over your opponent. She also has 4000 Power, meaning she won’t be killed by Winged Slayer if you happen to face any Disgaea decks.
