The week continues with yet more Rewrite and Accel World. It’s almost like they’re trying to reveal all of the new Rewrite cards before the set comes out.
Dear explorer, Chihaya
Red / Level 0 / Cost 0 / 2000 / 1 Soul / No Trigger
«お菓子 Sweets» / «オカルト Occult»
[AUTO] [(1) Put the top 1 card of your Deck to Clock] When this card is put from Hand to the Stage, you may pay the cost. If you do so, choose 1 Level 2 or above character card from your Waiting Room and return it to Hand.
Up first we have a useful character retrieving Chihaya. For 1 Stock and 1 damage she can get you any Level 2 or higher character from your Waiting Room back to your Hand. This means you can get back your most powerful cards during the end game, however you’d need to be careful not to kill yourself early through the damage. Unlike other retrieval cards she doesn’t need to Rest, which means you don’t sacrifice the chance to attack by playing her.
Let’s mixing♪ Kotori
Blue / Level 1 / Cost 0 / 4500 / 1 Soul / No Trigger
«植物 Plant» / «オカルト Occult»
[AUTO] At the beginning of your Attack Phase, you may choose 1 of your «植物 Plant» characters in Rest and put it to Stand.
Up next we have another Kotori card to empower your «植物 Plant» deck. She will allow you to use more effects that cause characters to Rest, since you can now use 3 without any detriment to your ability to attack, compared to the 2 you normally have. However she’s very weak for a Level 1, meaning that if you want to keep her Front Stage she’ll be unlikely to beat anything and won’t last very long. If instead you play her Back Stage you’ll deprive yourself of a support card. Chances are you’ll only pull this effect off once per card, unless you can afford to cut the support card.
Heartbeats in the bathroom, Niko
Red / Level 1 / Cost 0 / 6500 / 1 Soul / No Trigger
[AUTO] When this card is put from Hand to the Stage, put the top 2 cards of your Deck to the Waiting Room. If there is a Climax card amongst those cards, put this card to Rest.
Finally we have a powerful Niko card, who seems to be getting lots of good cards in the Accel World booster. She has the same effect as the 0/0 4000 Rei, except she’s instead a 1/0 6500, which is huge for a Cost 0. A lot of the time she’ll just end up thinning the deck, but other times you’ll lose a chance to attack. If you’ve not yet filled your Back Stage you could just move her there and play another attacker, however she might be big enough to survive your opponent’s turn unscatched anyway. She’s a very powerful attacker with little drawback and I could see her getting played a lot in Accel World decks.
