Today was a complete surprise for me, and shows how bad I am at predicting what pattern there will be for a given week. Instead of getting a P4 or GC card we’ve started previews on Zero no Tsukaima F, with a new Louise and Tabitha (Charlotte) card.
Louise of the Holy Land
Red / Level 1 / Cost 1 / 7000 / 1 Soul / No Trigger
«魔法 Magic» / «虚無 Void»
The new Louise card here is just a 1/1 7000 vanilla, but it’s the first one for the series. Back in the early days of the game this sort of card didn’t exist, so it’s quite a boost to the series finally having a Level 1 with high power.
Charlotte Helene Orleans
Yellow / Level 3 / Cost 2 / 10000 / 2 Soul / 1 Soul Trigger
«魔法 Magic» / «王族 Royalty»
[A] When this card is put from your Hand to the Stage, draw up to 2 cards, and put 1 card from your Hand to the Waiting Room.
[A] When your characters Trigger a Climax for the Trigger Check, this card gains Power +2000 for that turn.
Tabitha is another first for the series, since it came from an era before 10000 attack Level 3s (or so namimo tells me). This card is also unusual because it shares a name with a card from the original series, but has a completely different effect. This comes with advantages and disadvantages though. Since the original card already had another card that could Bond to it, this card also has that support making it easier to use without needing any other new cards. The problem though is that since both cards have the same name you can only use 4 of them combined in the deck.
Instead of being a healing ability the first ability of Tabitha allows you to draw 2 cards in exchange for 1 from your hand afterwards, netting you a +1 in total. Whilst it won’t keep you in the game longer like a Heal effect would, it does help you win faster.
Her second effect relies on Triggering Climax cards to give her a power boost, which means it’s unlikely it’ll happen too much. Since other characters grant her the power boost as well you’ll want to save Tabitha for last when attacking, to get the largest potential boost. I wouldn’t expect you to get much more than a 2000 boost most of the time, and if you get any more than that you’ll probably be more worried about the fact you’ve just lost a decent chunk of Climaxes that could have saved you from damage, rather than being pleased about the attack boost. When her effect works it’s a nice boost that can take her over other Level 3 10000 cards, but I don’t think it’ll happen enough for this effect to be consistent.
