To round of the week we get a double dose of Da Capo III in the form of a Climax Combo. My guess of a Da Capo / Persona 4 pairing for the whole week was wrong it seems.
First Time Wearing that Uniform, Himeno
Red / Level 2 / Cost 1 / 8000 / 1 Soul / 1 Soul Trigger
[A] [(4)] When this card attacks, if [Talking at the Beach] is in the Climax Zone, you may pay the cost. If you do so, deal 5 damage to your opponent (Damage Cancel can still happen).
Talking at the Beach
Red / 2 Soul Trigger
[A] When this card is put from your Hand to the Climax Zone, put the top 1 card of your Deck to Stock, and all of your characters gain Soul +1 for that turn.
The stats on this Himeno card don’t really matter, since this is all about the burn. 8000 attack is pretty poor for a 2/1, but you’re not meant to be beating other characters in battle with her anyway. This unfortunately means that you’ll probably need to hold Himeno back until you draw this Climax card, otherwise you’ll easily lose her in battle to your opponent’s much more powerful cards.
When you do get this combo off your opponent is potentially in for a lot of damage. The combined cost for Himeno and her effect is 5 Stock, however since the Climax gains you an extra Stock, you only really need to worry about the 4 Stock for her effect. If you attack with another two characters first you’ll only have needed 2 Stock before entering battle to get this to work. Once her effect goes off you’ll either be causing massive amounts of damage, or flushing out your opponent’s Climax cards. Her effect can cause 5 damage, and every character will be attacking for at least 2 damage. If you strike at the right time you can wipe the opponent out in a single turn without even giving them a chance to get to level 3. However at the wrong time, and the much more likely situation, the 5 damage will be cancelled, and you’ll have lost a huge amount of stock.
Cards like this are always a gamble, you’ll basically either win or lose based on the outcome of this effect. Personally I prefer more controlled burn damage like [Trouble Girl Haruhi] or the Level 3 Yuri card from Angel Beats!, but if you like taking risks you’ll enjoy using this combo.
