Sorry about the little delay here, but I’m going to be covering the two cards revealed yesterday (the 9th) now. Today’s cards (the 10th) are actually reposts of the level 3 Madoka and Homura cards from the Trial Deck, so there won’t be a new Card of the Day for today. Since the Trial Deck is out tomorrow I assume this is being done to promote the lead cards of the deck. The last new cards revealed were two event cards, both of which replace themselves once played.
Law of Infinite Loop
Green / Level 1 / Cost 1 / No Trigger
Look for up to 1 «魔法 Magic» character from your Deck, show it to your opponent and add it to your Hand. Shuffle that Deck.
Up first we have a searching card for the deck, and apparently the first Green event of this type. Since it is «魔法 Magic» specific, rather than Madoka specific, this can also find use in Standard where «魔法 Magic» decks are powerful/popular. This card is every simple so doesn’t really need much explanation. Basically as long as you have Green in your Clock / Level you’ll be able to play this card and for a low Cost be able to grab basically any card from your deck. This can be useful when you’re in a tight bind and don’t have any cards in your hand that can currently help. It is also useful late game where it can grab you a level 3 with heal to keep you in the game longer.
Decks which mix in Green should have no trouble finding the cards they need at the right time.
Blue / Level 2 / Cost 0 / No Trigger
Choose 1 of your «魔法 Magic» characters in Stand and put it to Rest. If you do so, draw up to 2 cards, then choose 1 card from your Hand and put it to the Waiting Room.
The evil looking Kyubey here provides an easy way to cycle your hand and thins your deck without costing you anything. You’ll usually end up Resting a Back Stage character who wouldn’t have done anything anyway, so activating this card won’t be a problem. Overall this card nets you no extra cards, since you lose this card plus one from your hand, in exchange for drawing two.
If you’re lucky and draw only character / event cards this will thin your deck down and increase the chances you have of cancelling damage. If you do draw a Climax though it will reduce your chances of cancelling, so this is always a risk to take. This card also helps you dig through your deck faster and hopefully exchange less useful cards for more useful ones, however unlike the Green event card you cannot guarantee what you’ll get. Another use for the card is to dump cards that can be retrieved with [BOND], since it allows you to gain a card overall whilst adding new cards to your hand.
This card would add speed to the Blue deck, but you just have to be wary that sometimes it can hurt you by adding Climaxes to your hand when you don’t want them to be there.
